SKY BAG
DENTIST BEACH

It is an ecological sanctuary rich in biodiversity. More than half of the coast is formed by mangroves, abundant marine life of crustaceans, shells and oysters. The sea is as calm as a lake and on nights with a starry sky it is possible to see the stars reflected on the surface of the water, hence the name.

Located on Ilha da Gipóia, it is a scenario that enchants all visitors. With incredibly white and fine sand, it forms waves in the middle of the forest. The calm sea, extremely transparent and intense colors, which vary according to the sky, this is a must-see beach for anyone who is in the region.

BEACH OF THE ARROWS
BOTINAS ISLANDS

The two stone islands, almost twins, have calm and colorful sea, perfect for snorkeling. Stopping at a sea of transparent water and white sand bottom is an invitation to swim to the islands and enjoy the view of the region.

Located on Ilha da Gipóia, facing Angra, the beach has an extensive strip of sand that pleases those looking for a quiet place or those who prefer to rely on the infrastructure of kiosks and restaurants. With calm and transparent waters, it is perfect for swimming, diving and enjoying yourself in one of its restaurants.

PAQUETÁ - ANGRA DOS REIS

It is a small island, with calm and warm waters. In its charming cove, the boats are sheltered, and the beach has a good stretch of sand, comfortable for children to play. Close to the mainland, the possibilities for beautiful photos are enormous, bringing together the combination of sea and mountain in the same frame. And there are two bars where you can toast to this paradise – one is on land and the other is floating.

PLANTS

How about getting to know the only nuclear power plants in Brazil? Located in Ilha Grande Bay, nearby are the islands of Algodão, Sandri, Samambaia and Comprida do Boqueirão. We can see the contrast between the facilities and the Serra do Mar, and attractions such as the passage along the Historic Village of Mambucaba, with its colonial houses, former coffee exporting port and slave importer to the Paraíba Valley.

BLUE LAGOON

One of the most visited spots on Ilha Grande is a natural pool. Located between two islets, it is the point of Ilha Grande that is closest to the mainland. Great place to swim, float with “noodles”, snorkel or even feed the little fish.

GREEN POND

Located on the northwest coast of Ilha Grande, it has this name because it is one of the few places on Earth where green corals are found. A corner of shallow, calm and transparent waters, it is an invitation to dive and snorkel.

STRONG SITE

The name of this cove, located on the north coast of Ilha Grande, was inspired by the large rock that marks the place. In it, several beaches – with warm and calm waters – are home to small colonies of fishermen. One of these beaches is Sítio Forte, where there is a floating restaurant where you can eat fresh seafood (seafood is freshly caught). It is also possible to go to the beach and walk to a fresh water stream.

ISLAND OF CATAGUASES

Also called Cataguás Island, it is certainly one of the most idyllic islands in the Angra dos Reis archipelago. With a truly Caribbean aspect, with calm, transparent and shallow waters, this island is the closest to Angra, that is, to the mainland.

QUOTA BAG

Ideal for those who want to spend the day in a quiet place without waves. Visitors can go to the island and take a walk or simply lie on the sand and enjoy the silence.

LANDING/LOPES MENDES

Praia do Pouso is one of the 8 beaches in Enseada de Palmas. In addition to being the beginning of the trail to go to Lopes Mendes beach, one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world, we can still find some farmhouses that produced sugar cane and coffee in the colonial period with the use of slave labor. The cove was also the scene of naval battles between pirates and Portuguese ships. One of the most inhabited places on Ilha Grande in the 19th century, today it has only about 70 residents.

CEDRO ISLAND

Located 12 miles from Paraty, the island has two beaches with clear water. The first, to the north, in a small cove. The other one, to the west, has some houses and restaurants, and a freshwater spout. In front of São Gonçalo beach and the Serra do Mar mountains, it is bathed by calm waters and ideal for swimming at ease.

MAMANGUÁ BAG
CAJAÍBA BEACH

Located in an isolated region, Praia Grande da Cajaíba is a true paradise. The long strip of white sand is surrounded by dense Atlantic forest. Near the beach there is a beautiful waterfall, great for swimming and taking the salt off your body. From the corners of the beach there are trails that lead to some neighboring beaches.

The Saco do Mamanguá is one of Paraty's treasures. A sea entrance with about 8 km long and 2 km wide, it has 33 beaches and is home to eight caiçara communities. At the bottom of the Mamanguá, the preserved mangrove area has a very rich and impressive biodiversity, in addition to access to the Rio Grande waterfall. One of the attractions is Restaurante do Zizinho, an octogenarian fisherman that serves the best example of homemade food at a fair price and family service. There we will also find a trail to the Pão de Açucar do Mamanguá.
